"Young Blood" - The Naked and Famous
This song will definitely be stuck in your head for a long time after you listen to it. (At least that's how it was for me.) It's the definition of "indie bliss." So, if you're into indie music at all, check it out.
"So Wrong" - Atreyu
Atreyu is just simply awesome. I love pretty much every song they put out. All their songs have so much meaning and emotion to them. This song is probably one of my favorites from them, and it's got an awesome guitar breakdown in it, along with some soft core screamo parts. It's just an all around awesome song.
"Take Me Out" - Atomic Tom
I heard this song on the radio just the other day. (102.9, best radio station ever.) I immediatly came home and downloaded it and listened to it about a thousand times. It's got a really good sound to it that just makes you want to dance around the house without a care in the world. Favorite lyric: "I don't want to stay here. I don't wanna live half my life and disappear. So if you want to take chances, take a chance on me."
"Fly" - Nicki Minaj ft. Rihanna
Now, I don't really listen to a ton of rap, actually hardly ever, but I really like Nicki Minaj and I also like Rihanna, and this song is amazing. It really holds a personal meaning to me. I can really relate to the lyrics, and as always, Rihanna's voice sounds amazing as she sings the chorus. Favorite lyric: "I wish today it will rain all day. Maybe that will kinda make the pain go away. Trying to forgive you for abandoning me. Praying but I think I’m still an angel away. Angel away, yeah strange in a way. Maybe that is why I chase strangers away..."
"Airplane Dance" - Circa Survive
Circa Survive is one of my all time favorite bands. My friend, Ryan, introduced me to them and I've been in love ever since. (Mainly with Anthony Green's amazing voice.) This actually the first song I heard by them. AG always puts so much emotion in his singing and this song definitely shows that off. It's got a kind of eclectic, indie, acoustic feel to it. I recommend you listen to this song and then download all of Circa Survive's other songs, because you're going to love this band.

Songs I'm Ashamed To Say Are On My iPod #001

"Baby" - Justin Bieber ft. Ludacris
Don't judge me. Okay? His songs are catchy.
Songs I'm Currently Listening To #001
"Seven Years" (Acoustic Version) - Circa Survive
This song was originally done by Saosin, whose lead singer used to be Anthony Green, current lead singer for Circa Survive. Although the original version is extremely good, I like this acoustic version better. It really brings out Anthony Green's amazingly unique voice. I just love the whole acoustic vibe it has. Anthony Green just puts so much emotion into this song. I love it. It's like the guitar is the background music for his voice because you can almost miss it playing. My favorite part is when he starts singing "Don't treat me, I'm to blame. Don't treat me like I ever accused you." That whole break down to the end is awesome. I definitely recommend you listen to this song.
"The Way I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson
This song has a very chill vibe to it. You can pretty much just sway back and forth to it. It's a very sweet song and Ingrid Michaelson's voice is so calming and pretty. This definitely a favorite song of mine.
"Punch You in the Jeans" - The Lonely Island
Now, this song is just hilarious. I love The Lonely Island, and Andy Samburg is just so funny! I wish I was creative enough to come up with songs as random and funny as this one.
Favorite lyric: "Gonna revise your levis with physical harm. Put divets in the rivets with my physical arm."
"Little Lion Man" - Mumford & Sons
I heard this song on the radio a little over a week ago and fell in love with it. Ever since then I've probably listened to it about a thousand times. I love the way it sounds. It's alternative rock but has a kind of folk/bluegrass feel and sound to it. It's different but in a really good way. I recommend you listen to it.
"New Low" - Middle Class Rut
First thing I have to comment on is the name of the band, "Middle Class Rut." It's awesome, and so is the song. I also heard this one on the radio last week and fell in love with it. I just love the feeling of it and it's got a pretty good guitar breakdown towards the end of the song too.
Favorite lyric: "I've made mistakes just like everybody else, but instead of letting go of it, I can't forgive myself."
*By the way: If you click the title of the song, it'll take you to the video to listen to it.*

I think I'm really going to enjoy working on this, and I hope that you, the reader, will enjoy it too. Looking forward to it. :)
